Andalucía Lab is hosting the first technical workshop to refine a core set of indicators to measure the sustainability of tourism: TSI Project – Support to Spain’s tourism ecosystem: towards a more sustainable, resilient, and digital tourism, from 19-20 December, in Marbella.
This workshop is organised by the OECD as part of the project ‘Support to Spain’s Tourism Ecosystem: towards a more sustainable, resilient and digital tourism’, a collaboration between the OECD, the European Union and four Spanish regions: Andalusia, Catalonia, Navarra and Valencia.
This project responds to a request by the Spanish national and regional authorities for technical support for developing a system of indicators to measure and monitor the sustainability of the tourism sector, in accordance with Spain’s Recovery and Resilience Plan setting out to modernise and make Spain´s tourism sector more sustainable.
This initiative is part of the activities of the Tourism of Tomorrow Lab, a project hosted at Andalucía and aimed to promote a more sustainable travel industry through the better use of the available data.
